Timing
- Four 15-minute quarters, a 15-minute halftime
- The clock only stops in the last minute of each half for out-of-bounds plays or incomplete passes or when the referee deems it necesary for penalties, etc.
- Three timeouts per half for each team.

Movement
- Four downs are allowed to advance the ball 10 yards for a first down or to score.
- Punting is illegal. On fourth down, a team must go for a first down, touchdown or field goal.
Scoring
- Touchdown: 6 points
- Conversion after TD: 1 point for a place kick, 2 points for a run or pass.
- Field goal: 3 points for aplaced ball, 4 points for a drop kick.
Overtime
Overtime periods are 15 minutes during the regular season and playoffs.
Each team gets one possession to score.
After each team has had one possession and one team is ahead, that team wins.
If the game remains tied, the next team to score wins.
