In the spotlight
Democrat and Chronicle
(Wednesday, January 30, 2002) -- This week we profile University of Rochester senior Megan Sullivan, who qualified provisionally for the NCAA Division III championships in the weight throw last week (45 feet, 5 inches).
Majors: Math, German.
Hometown (high school): Wuerzburg, Germany (Wuerzburg American High).
Sports hero: My father. He was my coach in high school and was the first person who made me believe I could actually reach my goals.
Greatest sports moment: Has to be the qualifying throw. It almost seemed unattainable, then all of a sudden I did it.
Favorite Web site: www.imdb.com. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE movies and television, this is the perfect site to find out about all the actors in the movies and shows, what's coming out, and upcoming projects.
Favorite pro team: Kansas City Chiefs.
Schools I most enjoy beating: St. Lawrence University, Ithaca College.
Who will win the Super Bowl? Rams.
Must-see TV: CSI and Dawson's Creek.
Must-have food: Chicken fajitas.
Dream date: David Duchovny or Freddie Prinze Jr.
Favorite musical group/singer: Carole King.
Not many people know this but: I love musical theater. I am currently actively involved in Off Broadway On Campus. Singing has always been a passion of mine.
Who would play you in a movie? Sandra Bullock.
I think she could pull it off -- my personality along with my athletic and musical interests.
