(Wednesday, January 30, 2002) -- Jared Emigh scored two goals and goaltender Pat McKowne made 30 saves to lead Penfield to a 4-2 victory over Hilton in Monroe County hockey Tuesday at Webster.
Emigh gave Penfield a 2-0 lead, but goals by Luke McGrath and Jim Burgio tied the score in the third period for Hilton (6-5-1 league, 9-9-1 overall).
Jason Roe's short-handed goal with 6:18 remaining gave Penfield a 3-2 lead. Ed Silco added an empty-net goal with a second to play.
Darren Flood had two assists for the Patriots (5-6-1, 7-11-3).
Gates Chili 4, Pittsford 2: A.J. Maio and Jordan Maupin each scored twice to lead the Spartans at Thomas Creek.
Charles Liebschutz and R.J. LaMontagne both scored for Pittsford (3-6-1, 9-8-4).
Fairport 6, Webster 1: Chris Rynn scored three goals and made one assist to lead Fairport (6-4-2, 11-6-2) at Thomas Creek. Greg Collins and Adam Marx each added a goal and an assist and Matt Hyde made two assists for the Red Raiders. Brian DeMayo made 26 saves for the win.
Kyle Perrin scored for Webster.
McQuaid 9, Batavia Notre Dame 0: Jon Angus scored three goals and made one assist for McQuaid (8-2 league, 15-3-1 overall). Bryan Morrell added one goal and three assists and Tyler Hoff scored one goal and made two assists at ESL Centre.
Justin Brosnan made 14 saves to earn his third shutout.
Notre Dame is 3-8, 3-13.

Gates Chili 52, Batavia 18: Mario Schiano (145) scored a technical fall for GC (6-1). Bob Darch (189) had a pin for Batavia.
Irondequoit 40, Brighton 18: Dan Kurran (103) pinned James Brown in 3:38 for the Indians (8-4).
Gene Kobilanski (125) decisioned Albert Gianforti 13-9 for Brighton (18-7).

Brockport also got pins from Sean Riley (140) and Chris Goulet (275). Kevin Bush (160) and Andy Kleehammer scored technical falls for Brockport (6-1, 8-2). Churchville-Chili is 0-7.

Perry 39, Honeoye Falls-Lima 28: Zach Osborne pinned Ted Denise in 1:20 at 215 and Chris Huntz pinned Nick Dekar in 3:51 at 160 to seal the win for Perry (5-1, 6-4). Scott Smith beat Josh Sturm 6-1 at 130 for HF-L (5-5).
Livonia 60, Avon 18: Frank Orosz pinned Josh Farrell in 38 seconds at 145 pounds for Livonia (2-3). Matt Burke (215) pinned Spencer Crosby in 46 seconds for Avon (1-4).
WAYNE COUNTY
Pamyra-Macedon 46, Victor 12: Dorran Martin of Pal-Mac (5-7) scored a pin in 2:27 over Matt Payne. Greg Coquyt of Victor pinned Pal-Mac's Chris Crane in 5:54 at 215 pounds.

Kendall 49, Byron-Bergen 26: Don Williams beat Will Sapienza 7-2 at 145 pounds for Kendall.
Joel Jarnot pinned Jason Hardenbrook in 4:39 at 96 pounds for the Bees (6-3).

Geneva 58, East/Wilson 9: Isaac Scott (189) pinned Pablo Falbru in 5:38 for East/Wilson.

Batavia 117, Churchville-Chili 115.2, Penfield 110.7: Emily Green scored 36.65 points for Penfield to be named all-around gymnast. She won the bars (9.2), beam (9.25), vault (9.0) and tied on the floor exercise (9.2) with Krystal Kaminski (C-C).

MONROE COUNTY
Batavia 30-30-30, East Rochester 17-21-22: Brandi Butler had six kills and five aces for host Batavia (7-5, 8-9). Mallory Larsen had five kills and two aces for the Bombers.
Penfield 30-30-30, Churchville-Chili 22-25-19: Brooke England had 11 assists and five digs to lead Penfield (7-10) over Churchville-Chili. Heidi Mance of Churchville-Chili (2-15) totaled 12 kills and 10 digs.
Fairport 32-30-30, Greece Olympia 30-14-27: Dana Zimmerman had eight kills and Meghan Barteld added 10 digs for host Fairport (9-3, 13-4). Olympia is 4-6, 8-7.
