(Thursday, January 31, 2002) -- Freshman Peter Cooper recorded a pin at 160 pounds in his second career varsity match as Greece Olympia went on to defeat visiting Greece Athena 33-24.
Cooper pinned Mike Peterella in 1 minute, 13 seconds for the Spartans (4-4).
T. R. Nolan rallied from a 7-4 deficit to defeat Athena's Nelson McNeil 8-7 at 125 pounds. It's Nolan's first win against McNeil in three matches.
Webster 37, Penfield 17: Rex O'Corr (189) decisioned Josh Stewart, 2-1, off of a penalty point for Webster (6-0).
Josh Dzuira (112) decisioned Mike Marciano 14-1 for the Patriots (6-9).
Rush-Henrietta 58, Pittsford 12: Larry LaRussa pinned Ronnie Reaves in 3:08 at 135 for the host Royal Comets (7-0).
Chris Forte decisioned Craig Hightower 4-2 at 125 for the Panthers.
FINGER LAKES
Lyons 42, South Seneca 32: Ryan Jones pinned Mike Carroll in 1:16 at 119 for the host Lions.
Shawn Joseph pinned Joe Marconi in 1:47 at 140 for Lyons (9-3).
Rick Warner earned a technical fall over Jeremiah Bailey in 3:20 at 135 for South Seneca.

Le Roy 63, Pavilion 15: Mike Zalacca pinned Jon Luders in 53 seconds at 215 for Le Roy (11-3).
Paul Torcello pinned Adam Kuhn in 1:44 at 145 for Pavilion (2-5).

MONROE COUNTY
Brockport 4, Irondequoit 1: Jimmy Baker, Pat McCarthy, and Casey Balog each scored a goal and assisted on another for Brockport. Brandon Dries also scored and Nick Unger made 28 saves for Brockport (19-1) at Lakeshore Hockey Arena.
Jonathan Timke scored for Irondequoit. Jeff Decker made 25 saves for the Indians.
Spencerport 1, Brighton 1: Sean Nealon scored off an assist from Erik Dobosz 2:49 into the game to boost the Barons at Brockport State. Phil Mannix scored off an assist from Joe Zaccaria four minutes into the second period to tie the game for the Rangers.
Mike Zona made 22 saves for Spencerport.
Todd Maurer made 30 saves for Brighton.
Batavia 5, Churchville-Chili 0: Justin Kocent, Dan Okoniewski, and Nick Briolo each totaled a goal and an assist for the Ice Devils (10-2, 16-3-1).
Brennan Briggs and Jeff Brezinsky both added a goal for Batavia at Scottsville Ice Rink.
Goalie Adam Spink made 15 saves for Batavia.
Dan Ramirez stopped 34 shots for the Saints.
